This sports podcast was a new experience for me and overall, pretty fun to make. There are definitely some things I need to work on. I tried to set it up like a normal radio segment and I think the podcast might have gone a little long. Another problem I experienced was that it felt a little repetitive. I listened to The Fast Lane, a radio show on 101 ESPN before and after I did the project . One area I focused on that I notice they did was continuing to pause so the listener could process the information being said. Another thing I feel I need to improve on would be annunciation of words and more sharing of opinion. A lot during the podcast, I felt myself spewing facts and I was trying to get away from that. That was difficult because with the coronavirus pandemic and sports, there aren't a lot of opinions being floated around, just rumors, so I tried my best to address those rumors and add as much commentary as possible. I found it very difficult to talk about the pandemic and sports because of all the uncertainty. With that being said, this was my first podcast and I think if I keep practicing and trying, it will feel and become more natural. I was happy to try to do a podcast but I think I would have been more successful I could have provided opinions on something. Next time, I could try to find something to provide opinions on surrounding the sports world. I learned a lot from this project and I look to improve my skills in the future with more projecst!!
